Xiaomi announced Redmi Note 5A and Redmi Note 5A high end variants

Xiaomi has just announced Redmi Note 5A smartphone in China. Company has also introduced Redmi Note 5A high end (also called at Redmi 5AS). Both of them come with dedicated dual SIM slots and dedicated microSD card slot.
All the variants will go on sale in China from August 22, 2017.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A

The phone measures 153 x 76.2 x 7.55 mm and weighs 150 grams. It has 5.5-Inch multi-touch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
There is a Corning Gorilla Glass protection as well for added scratch resistance. The screen delivers 70% NTSC color gamut and 450 nits of brightness.
The Redmi Note 5A specs include a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 mobill platform and Adreno 308 GPU. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and allows further expansion up to 128GB. The basic variant misses out fingerprint sensor.
It has 5MP front camera with F/20 Aperture. On the back side is a 13MP shooter with LED flash, F/2.2 Aperture, PDAF and 1080p video recording capabilities.
The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with MIUI 9 on top. It has Infrared Sensor, Gyro, Accelerometer, Proximity, Ambient light and e-Compass.
The handset houses a 3080 mAh (typical) / 3000 mAh (minimum) battery that offers up to 35 hours of talk time, about 11 hours of video playback, 16 hours of gaming / navigation, 92 hours of audio playback and up to 11 days of standby.
Usual connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS, 3.5mm Audio jack will be present as well.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is priced at 699 Yuan (US$ 105 approx.) and comes in Campagne Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum Silver Gray colors.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A High End (also known as Redmi Note 5AS)

The phone packs in uni-body metal design and houses fingerprint sensor at the back. It has dimensions of 153 x 76.2 x 7.7 mm and weighs 153 grams.
The Redmi Note 5A high end specs include 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, 450 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 70% NTSC Color gamut.
It has dedicated Dual SIM slots and MicroSD card slot for further expansion. Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 435 mobile platform with Adreno 505 GPU.
This high end variant of Redmi Note 5A comes with 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. It has 3080 mAh (typical) / 3000 mAh (minimum) battery. It gives about 32 hours calling, 10 hours video, up to 12 hours of gaming, 15 hours of navigation, 75 hours of audio, 21 hours reading time and about 10 days of standby.
The Redmi Note 5AS features in 16MP selfie camera with independent soft light flash. It has F/2.0 large aperture and 76.4-degree wide angle lens. On the back side is 13MP shooter with LED Flash, PDAF, HDR, Panorama and 1080/720p video recording support.
Usual connectivity are the same, which include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS, 3.5mm Audio jack will be present as well.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5AS (Redmi Note 5A High End) price starts at 899 Yuan (US$ 135 approx.) for 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM variant. The 4GB RAM / 64GB storage model is priced at 1199 Yuan (US$ 180). It comes in Platinum Silver Gray, Rose Gold and Champagne Gold colors.
