Xiaomi launches Redmi 7 smartphone in India

Xiaomi has officially announced Redmi 7 smartphone in India. The mobile was first unveiled back in China in March. Xiaomi introduced the handset alongside Redmi Y3 at an event in India.
It has dimensions of  158.73 x 75.58 x 8.47 mm and 180 grams weight. Its dedicated Dual Nano SIM slots support dual 4G VoLTE. There is a  P2i nano coating for additional splash resistant properties.
Xiaomi-Redmi-7-photo-3Coming to the Operating System, the Redmi 7 runs  MIUI 10 which overlaps on Android 9.0 Pie. There is a 6.26-inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, 84% NTSC color gamut and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well. Multi-touch is also supported.
The smartphone gets processing power from 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 2GB / 3GB  with  32GB storage options. The mobile also allows further expansion up to 512GB.
The  Redmi 7 Specs include 12MP (F/2.2, PDAF) + 2MP dual rear shooters along with LED Flash. Apart from rear cameras, there is a fingerprint sensor at the back as well. For selfies, you get an 8MP camera at the front.
The phone packs in a 4000mAh (typical) / 3900 mAh (minimum) battery capacity. Usual connectivity options like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS, FM Radio and 3.5mm Audio Jack are present.
The Xiaomi Redmi 7  2GB/32GB price is Rs. 7999 while the Redmi 7 3GB/32GB model costs Rs. 8999. It comes in Eclipse Black, Lunar Red and Comet Blue colors. The phone will be available from April 29th at Amazon.in, Mi.com and Mi Home store. Jio users  can avail double data for 4 years at Rs. 2400 cashback (vouchers).
