Xiaomi has scheduled an event on September 27th 2106 where it is expected to unveil its Mi 5S smartphone. The teaser itself shows a huge ‘S’ which further ensures the Mi 5S launch.
This upcoming smartphone is said to be premium version of Mi 5. It has already been spotted at AnTuTu revealing some of its specs. It is said to come in two variants of 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage ROM.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S rumored specifications include 5.15-Inch 1080p pressure sensitive display with 95% NTSC Color gamut and 650 nits brightness. It is expected to have 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU.
The mobile should run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with MIUI 8 on top. It will have Dual SIM slots inside and supports 4G LTE with VoLTE. According to rumors, it could have Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and Infrared sensor inside.
There are chatters in the Tech World that suggests 16MP main snapper on the back with LED Flash, F/1.8 Aperture, 4-axis OIS, PDAF and 4K video recording capabilities.
A 3490 mAh quick charging battery is also expected (Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0) along with all the major connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (MIMO), Bluetooth V4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C etc.
