Xiaomi Mi 6 with Snapdragon 835 goes official

Xiaomi has just announced its latest flagship smartphone called Xiaomi Mi 6. It was unveiled today at Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium.
The phone has under glass fingerprint sensor on the front. The phone has rounded feel with stainless steel bright border with metallic mirror gloss and four curved reflective glass (achieved in a 40-step, 12-day polishing process).
It’s antenna strips, card slot and volume keys are properly aligned to give better visual experience and please users with obsessive compulsive disorder.
It’s stainless steel metal finishing makes it resistant to wear and tear. he handset is splash resistant as well, with all its openings properly sealed and protected.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 specs include 5.15-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Negative LCD Display that delivers 1500:1 higher contrast with deeper black. The screen offers 600nits brightness with real-time Pixel-Level adjustments (visible in sunlight) and increases color gamut from 72% to 94.4% NTSC. It has 1nit ultra-dark night display feature that offers 4x lower brightness, making it easy to user under low light conditions. It reduces harmful blue rays.
The Mi 6 features in 10nm octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. The SoC has new Kyro 280 architecture cores with clock speeds at up to 2.45GHz. It is backed by 6GB RAM lpddr4x and 64GB /128GB UFS internal storage space.
The smartphone is equipped with a decent 3350 mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0, 18W fast charging as well. Moreover, it comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 System power optimizations (restrict application from starting up, freezes background data and Battery saving mode) for improved battery. The battery should typically last for up to a day.
The Mi 6 comes with 2×2 dual Wi-Fi technology for better and wider connectivity. It also comes with dual stereo speakers for immerser audio experience. It also supports 4G VoLTE (via Dual Nano SIM slots), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2×2 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC etc. There is no 3.5mm Audio jack though.
The mobile is equipped with 12MP (wide angle lens) + 12MP (Telephoto lens) dual camera setup at the back and offers 2X optical lossless zoom. It has 1.25μm pixel size, F/1.8 Aperture, 4K recording support. There is a portrait mode that uses binocular stereoscopic vision imaging and depth learning algorithm that maintains clear face and at the same time make the background more virtual layer to give SLR Virtual effect. It has four-axis anti-shake OIS that helps capture quality photos even by people with shaky hands. Its second rear camera has 1.0micron pixel size, F/2.6 Aperture and 52mm portrait lens. On the front side is an 8MP selfie shooter.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 price starts at CNY 2499 (US$ 363) for 6GB RAM / 64GB Storage variant.  The 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variant will cost CNY 2899 (US$ 421). It comes in Bright Blue, Bright Black, White colors along with Silver Edition with reflective mirror finish and stainless teel frame.
There is a special Xiaomi Mi 6 Ceramic Edition with bright four-surface ceramic fuselage, up to 8Mohs hardness of body and 18K Gold plated camera decoration ring. It has 6GB RAM / 128GB storage and is priced higher at CNY 2999 (US$ 435). The Mi 6 will go on sale from April 28th.
