Xiaomi has officially announced Mi 6X smartphone in China. It was certified by TENAA few days back. It has uni-body metal design and houses a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The smartphone measures 158.7 x 75.4 x 7.3 mm and weighs 168 grams. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MUII 9 on top. The device sports dual SIM slots and supports dual 4G VoLTE. Infrared sensor is added bonus.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X specs include 5.99-inch 2.5D curved glass multi-touch display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and delivers 1500:1 contrast ratio.
It is powered by octa-core (2.2GHz Kryo 260 x 4 + 1.8GHz Kryo 260 x 4) 14nm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform and comes with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB / 128GB (eMMC 5.1) storage ROM.
At the back side is 12MP primary rear camera with LED Flash, SOny IMX486 sensor, F/1.75 Aperture and 1.25μm pixel size. There is a 20MP secondary rear shooter equipped with Sony IMX376 sensor, F/175 Aperture and 4-in-1 2.0µm pixels. The secondary rear shooter captures depth information for portrait shots and comes with AI capabilities. It’s intelligent scene detection can detect 206 different scenes.
The hardware is powered by 3010 mAh (typical) / 2910 mAh (minimum) battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 as well. With its 18W charge, the battery charges from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Connectivity wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0 LE, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C and Type-C audio.
