Xiaomi has officially take wraps of its flagship phone called Mi 8 Pro. It was unveiled along with mid-ranger Mi 8 Lite (Youth Edition).
The phone has specifications similar to Mi 8. There is a gradient model with glass back and a Titanium model with transparent back, similar to Mi 8 Explorer Edition.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro features in pressure sensitive in-display fingerprint sensor which is 29% faster than the one in Mi 8. It is also more power efficient. IR Face unlock is also present. The device runs on Android 8.1 oreo OS with MIUI on top.
The smartphone measures 154.9 x 74.8 x 7.6 mm and has weight of 177 grams. It has 3000 mAh (typical) / 2900 mAh (minimu) battery with Quick Charge 4+ fast charging support.
Its Dual Nano SIM slots supports dual 4G VoLTE. The Mi 8 Pro specifications include 6.21-inch AMOLED display which delivers DCI-P3 color gamut. It has 2248 x 1080 pixels resolution, 18.7:9 aspect ratio, 60000:1 contrast ratio, 600nits brightness and supports multi-touch.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro specs also include 12MP primary rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, 1/2.6-inch Sony IMX363 sensor, 26mm wide-angle lens, 1.4µm pixel size, F/1.8 Aperture, optical zoom and 4-axis OIS. There is a secondary 12MP rear camera with Samsung S5K3M3 sensor, 1.0µm pixels, F/2.4 Aperture and 2X zoom. For selfies and video calling, there is 20MP front camera with real-time AI portraits.
Connectivity wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2X2 MU-MIMO, Dual Frequency (L1 + L5), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C and NFC.
