XIAOMI is gearing up for 5G Version of Mi 9 flagship. A handset with model number Xiaomi M1908F1XE has been certified by TENAA.
The handset is likely to be called as Mi 9 5G or Mi 9s 5G. It shares similarities with original Mi 9. According to TENAA, the phone measures 157.21 x 74. 64 x 8.95 mm and weighs 196 grams. It will have Dual SIM slots and runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top.
The Xiaomi M1908F1XE features in 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution at 19:9 aspect ratio, 103.8% NTSC Color gamut, 600nits brightness and 60000:1 contrast ratio. The handset will also come with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, just like Mi 9. To top it all, the Mi 9s 5G will house an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The M1908F1XE variant gets an upgrade in terms of chipset. It will come with octa-core (2.96GHz Kryo 485 x 1 + 2.42GHz Kryo 485 x 3 + 1.8GHz Kryo 485 x 4) Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform with Adreno 640 GPU. The smartphone will also include Snapdragon X50 modem for 5G. The handset will come in 6GB/8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options.
Just like Mi 9, this upcoming Mi 9 5G or Mi 9s 5G phone will include a triple camera setup at the back. Primary one is a 48MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1/2.0-inch Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8um pixels, F/1.75 Aperture, CAF, PDAF and Laser AF. There is a secondary 12MP rear camera with 1/3.6-inch Samsung S5K3M5 sensor, Telephoto lens and F/2.2 Aperture. Third rear camera is of 16MP and includes 1/1.3-inch Sony IMX481 sensor with 11 7-degree wide angle lens, 6P lens, 1.0um pixel size and 4cm macro. For selfies, it has 20MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture.
There is a 4000mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging support. Connectivity options like 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 820.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual band (2.4/5GHz) 2×2 MU–MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0, Dual Frequency (L1+L5) GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C and NFC will be supported.
The Xiaomi M1908F1XE will come in White, Blue and Black colors.
