Xiaomi teased that it will launch a new dual camera smartphone on September 5th. Later on, company released a second teaser stating that it will be introduce an all to gather new series.
Today, company has launched Mi A1 smartphone in India. It was introduced at an event held in New Delhi. The handset is created by Xiaomi and powered by Google. Company has partnered with Search Giant to introduce this Android One smartphone in India.
Talking about physical aspects, it has uni-body aluminium metal design with anti-fingerprint coating (black color). The device measures 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 165 grams. It has Fingerprint sensor located at the back.
It comes with dual Pyrolytic graphite sheet that reduced phones temperature by up to 2-degrees. It has IR sensor that can be used with Mi Remote Application. Company has promised an Android 8.0 upgrade by the end of this year. Moreover, it will also be one of the first devices to get Android P (next iteration which was mistakenly confirmed).
The Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One smartphone comes in Black, Rose Gold and Gold colors. The Mi A1 will retail for Rs. 14,999 in India (converts to US$ 235 approx.) and will be available exclusively at Mi Home Stores, MI.com and Flipkart from September 12th. Company has partnered with Airtel to give new/existing customers 200GB additional 4G data.
