Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One phone goes official – Specs, Price

Xiaomi teased that it will launch a new dual camera smartphone on September 5th. Later on, company released a second teaser stating that it will be introduce an all to gather new series.
Today, company has launched Mi A1 smartphone in India. It was introduced at an event held in New Delhi. The handset is created by Xiaomi and powered by Google. Company has partnered with Search Giant to introduce this Android One smartphone in India.
Talking about physical aspects, it has uni-body aluminium metal design with anti-fingerprint coating (black color). The device measures 155.4 x  75.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 165 grams. It has Fingerprint sensor located at the back.
It comes with dual Pyrolytic graphite sheet that reduced phones temperature by up to 2-degrees. It has IR sensor that can be used with Mi Remote Application. Company has promised an Android 8.0 upgrade by the end of this year. Moreover, it will also be one of the first devices to get Android P (next iteration which was mistakenly confirmed).
The Xiaomi Mi A1 specs include 5.5-inch LTPD 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has 1000:1 contrast ratio, 450nits brightness and supports multi-touch. It has Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Under the hood is a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 (14nm) processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC 5.0 ROM and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone features flagship dual cameras at the back with LED flash (dual-tone). It makes up of 12MP camera with F/2.2 Aperture, 1.25 micron pixels and 26mm wide-angle lens. The second rear camera is 12MP and sports 50mm telephoto lens, F/2.6 Aperture, 1.0 micron pixels and supports PDAF.
It has Beautify 3.0, Smart Beautify and can takes Bokeh photos. The dual cameras also offer 2X Optical Zoom..There is a 5MP selfie camera at front as well.
The hardware is powered by  3080 mAh (typical) / 3000 mAh (minimum) battery. It has dedicated 10V smart power amplifier for enhanced sound, DHS Audio Calibration algorithm and Stand alone amplifier..
The handset comes with Hybrid Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano / MicroSD) and supports 4G VoLTE. Most of Connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C (comes with 380V charger) and 3.5mm Audio Jack as supported.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One smartphone comes in Black, Rose Gold and Gold colors. The Mi A1 will retail for Rs. 14,999 in India (converts to US$ 235 approx.) and will be available exclusively at Mi Home Stores, MI.com and Flipkart from September 12th. Company has partnered with Airtel to give new/existing customers 200GB additional 4G data.
