Xiaomi has already unveiled Mi Band 5 smart band in China last month. Now, company has introduced Mi Smart Band 5 for global markets. It was announced at Xiaomi’s Mi Ecosystem event.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 comes with 11 different sports mode which includes rowing machine, yoga, skipping rope, elliptical machine, indoor cycling, swimming, exercise, indoor running, cycling, walking and outdoor running.
With measurements of 47.2 x 18.5 x 12.4 mm and weight of 11.9 Grams (12.1 grams for NFC model), the Mi Smart Band 5 comes with 5ATM rating which makes it water resistant up to 50 meters. The NFC model comes with Xiao Ai’s voice assistant.
The smartband houses 1.1-inch AMOLED 24-bit color touch screen with 294 x 126 pixels resolution. It has 2.5D scratch-resistant glass with Anti-Fingerprint coating and delivers up to 450nits brightness.
It has heart rate sensor (PPG), offers 24-hours sleep tracking, fitness tracking and gives out sedentary reminders. There is PAI health analysis and can also track menstrual cycles.
There are array of sensors inside including Tri-Axis accelerometer, Tri-Axis Gyro, Pressure assessment sensor, Capacitive wear detection, Breathing training and remote shutter control.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 uses Bluetooth v5.0 to connect with smartphones. It has 125mAh battery which gives about 14 days of battery life in typical mode and about 20 days on long battery mode.
The Mi Band 5 price is €39.99 (US$ 45 / Rs. 3,440 approx.) however, early buyers can avail it for €34.99 (US$ 40 / Rs. 3,000 approx.). It comes in Black, Mint Green, Teal, Yellow, Navy Blue and Orange straps. It will go on sale in select European markets.
