Xiaomi has announced its new Mi Electric Scooter 1S in China. It has aircraft grade aluminum body with a portable design and is equally light weight at just 12.5 Kg.
The Mi Electric Scooter 1S is IP54 rated for water resistance and is developed under MIJIA Mi Ecosystem. Its folding design allows one to fold the scooter in just 3 seconds simply with a press of a button.
It has 8.5-inch tires with shock absorbing capabilities and sports a dual front and rear brake design. Its front wheel uses E-ABS anti-lock system while the rear while has mechanical disc brake.
The Mi Electric Scooter 1s features in multi-function dashboard with one-key operation. It has Eco, Normal and Sports mode to sooth your needs. It is powered by 500W DC brushless motor (3000 Hours motor life, 250W rated power) which delivers 25 Km/h top speed.
At the front side is LED Front light which illuminates about 6 meters away. There is a bright red light as well. The scooter’s lithium battery gives about 30Km of usage (based on 75Kg load).
The Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter 1s also includes energy recovery system which can be turned on by pressing brake handle or release throttle when moving. It basically turns the kinetic energy into electricity for better battery life. Xiaomi has also included BMS battery management system to monitor battery health in real time.
It is also a smart scooter, which pairs with smartphones using Bluetooth. Its Application allows one to track speeds, cycling habits, battery available etc.
The Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter 1s price is 1999 Yuan (US$ 282 / Rs. 21,590 approx.) and comes in White and Black colors.
