Xiaomi has announced two new smartwatch for kids called Mi Kids Watch 4 and Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro. These offer impressive features and comes with eSIM for 4G VoLTE calling at major operators in China.
The Mi Kids Watch 4 price is 899 Yuan (US$ 125 / Rs. 9650 approx.) while the Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro price is 1299 Yuan (US$ 183 / Rs. 13,920 approx.). Both of them will be available in China from April 9th and comes in Blue and Pink color options.
Xiaomi Mi Kids Watch 4
For starters, this smartwatch is swim proof up to 20 meters depths. It is compatible with mobiles running on Android 4.2 or iOS 8.0 or later.
It has 4G VoLTE support via eSIM and comes with built-in speaker and microphone. There is a 920mAh battery which offers about 8 days of battery life. The smartwatch houses several sleep and activity tracking functionalities.
The Mi Kids Watch 4 features in 1.78-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The screen comes with 368 x 448 pixels resolution at 326ppi pixel density.
In terms of optics, there is 5MP front camera placed inside notch coupled with another 5MP rear shooter. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.2 LE, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and nFC support
Xiaomi Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro
This a slightly premium version of the base Kids Watch 4. It has 1.78-inch AMOLED display with 368 x 448 pixels resolution, 326ppi pixel density and houses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The Mi Kids Watch 4 Pro specs include Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM (eMMC). It is swim proof (up to 20 meters) and includes several activity and sleep tracking features.
This particular smartwatch houses 920mAh battery which offers about 8 days of battery life. It also comes with 5MP front and 5MP rear cameras. There is a speaker and microphone for taking voice calls (4G VoLTE via eSIM).
The wearable is compatible with devices running on Android 4.2 or later and iOS 8.0 or later. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.2 LE, NFC and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou.
