Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with 6.44-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 625 SoC announced

Xiaomi has just launched its latest smartphone called Mi Max 2. It is successor to Mi Max that launched last year. Comany announced it at a dedicated event in China.
It has uni-body metal design with rounded edges. It has 0.7mm narrow bezels on the sides. The mobile measures 174.1 × 88.7 × 7.6mm and weighs about 211grams. Its antenna strips have be relocated to top and bottom. Dual Stereo speakers are located at bottom.
It has hybrid dual SIM slots (micro + nano / microSD) and supports 4G VoLTE. It comes with MIUI 8 which is based on Android. It has fingerprint sensor on the back and houses IR sensor as well. The xiaomi Mi Max 2 specs include 6.44-inch IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. It offers 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 72% NTSC color gamut, 450nits brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio. Under the hood is 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and comes in 64GB / 128GB storage options. The hardware is fueled by 5300mAh (typical) / 5200mAh (minimum) battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 as well. It can charge up to 68% in an hour. A fully charged battery promises up to 57 hours of talktime or up to 18 hours of video playback. Its dual charging module provides improved heat dispersion.
The Mi Max 2 features in a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens. On the back side is 12MP primary camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, Sony IMX386 sensor and 1.25μm pixel size. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Wi-Fi HotSpot, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack etc. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is priced starts at699 yuan (US$ 247 / Rs.15949 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB Storage and 1999 yuan (US$ 290 / Rs. 18770 approx.) for 4GB RAM with 128GB storage model. It will be available in Cina from June 1, 2017.
