Xiaomi Mi MIX with 6.4-Inch edge-less display, Snapdragon 821, 16MP camera announced

Xiaomi along with Mi Note 2 has announced a new mobile phone called Mi MIX. It has full ceramic body, ceramic back cover, frame and 8 MoHs hardness. It has seamless connectors fuse with phone’s body without and external adhesives.
It makes use of Cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology which allows one to listen to calls with need of earpiece. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX specs include 6.4-Inch edgeless display (2040 x 1080 pixels resolution), boasting 91.3% screen-to-body ratio (highest on any smartphone). It has custom 17:9 display with large 16:9 viewing area, even with soft keys. It’s soft keys comes auto-hid Quick ball that allows easy navigation and reach-ability.

Under the hood is a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 14nm processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB UFS 2.0 Storage. It also has 6GB LPDDR4 RAM + 256GB storage ROM for Mi Mix 18K model (with gold trim, 18K gold accents).

The Mi MIX features in 5MP front camera for selfies. It’s camera module is 50% smaller than traditional ones. It also houses a 16MP primary shooter on the back with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF and 4K video recording capabilities. It’s Dual SIM slots support 4G LTE with VoLTE.

The smartphone gets energy from 4400 mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 as well. It has ultrasonic proximity sensor which hides behind the display. It also delivers HD audio quality at 192kHz / 24-bit resolution.

It has full NFC functionality that allows mobile payments. Apart from that, It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, GPS etc.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at RMB 3499 (US$ 516) while the premium 6GB RAM / 256GB storage model carries price-tag of RMB 399 (US$ 590). Both the variants have a special leather case as well.
