Chinese Brand Xiaomi seems to be working on a mini variant of Mi 5S which could be called as Mi S. It has some premium specifications, at least according to the leaks.
The Xiaomi Mi S alleged specs sheet has surfaced online. According to the leaked info, the handset measures 128.3 x 64 x 8.2 mm and weighs 138 grams.
It is said to come with Dual Nano SIM slots and house a fingerprint sensor on the home button. It should run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS or Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 8. It will have Fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button as well. The slides reveal a 4.6-Inch 2.5D curved Glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The screen has 1500:1 contrast ratio, 600nits brightness, 94% NTSC Color gamut and supports multi-touch as well. The smartphone is expected to feature 2.35GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It should have 4GB DDR4 RAM with 128GB UFS 2.0 Storage ROM. On the camera front, the cell phone allegedly features a 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor camera with 1/2.3-inch sensor size, F/2.0 Aperture, PDAF, 4K video, 720 slowmo at 120fps and dual-ton LED Flash. On the front side could be a 4MP selfie snapper with F/2.0 Aperture, 80-degree wide angle lens and 1080p video recording support. The Xiaomi Mi S is expected to be powered by 2600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 Support. Usual connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), MU-MIO, Bluetooth V4.2, USB Type-C, GPS, 3.5mm Audio jack etc will be present as well. There is no official word on Mi S available yet. It the leak specs sheet indeed is true, the Mi S could very well be the best compact smartphone out there.
