Xiaomi Mi TV 5 and Mi TV5 Pro unveiled, comes in 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch sizes

Xiaomi along with Mi CC9 Pro smartphone has also announced latest Mi TV 5 Series smart TV’s in China. The Mi TV 5 and Mi TV 5 Pro comes in 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch screen sizes. The Pro variant feature in Quantum Dot 4K QLED panels with 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution, 178-degree wide viewing angles, 108% NTSC Color gamut and HDR 10+ support. Notably, Quantum Dot panel is not present in Non Pro models.

The Mi TV 5 55-inch model is 5.9mm slim at its thinnest point, 65-inch is 6mm thick and 75-inch model is 9.9mm thick. All of them come with metal body with integrated curved frame and sports a higher screen to body ratio than its predecessor Mi TV 4 series. This is possible thanks to its 47.1% narrow frame.

All the Mi TV 5 and Mi TV 5 Pro models feature in 1.9GHz Amlogic Cortex-A53 quad-core T972 processor (12nm) coupled with Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. They support 8K video playback thanks to its 9th Generation image quality engine technology. The Mi TV 5 Pro models have 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage while the MI TV 5 models houses 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.

These have two-channel two-way design and comes with dual 8W stereo speakers and supports DTS audio and Dolby Audio. The right and left channels come with two vocal and woofer units for improved acoustic response. They have company’s very own PatchWall AI as well.

In terms of connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth and Ethernet. There are three HDMI (1 with ARC) ports, two USB ports and S/PDIF.

The Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Series will go on sale in China from November 11th.
