Xiaomi MIUI 8 goes official in global markets, Beta ROMs coming on July 11

Xiaomi had already introduced MIUI 8 last month in China. Now company has officially announced its latest ROM for global markets. It has refreshed UI with new features.

MIUI 8 Features

The ROM has has redesigned colors and comes with New Gallery, that is 90% more space efficient. It has Quick share controls, doodle on drawings, video editing / cropping, adding filters and allows adding caption & music.
It has Mi Cloud photos that shows local high-res previews and syncs full-sized photos with Mi Cloud. Users can also take scrolling screenshots (of whole page).
The MIUI 8 allows one to use two accounts for each applications, has dual space to manage work and personal profiles. It also has new calculator which allows advance calculations and conversions.

The MIUI caller ID allows one to identify caller numbers. They are crowd sourced from Amazon, Swiggy, Dominos, Zomato and more. It also has T9 Hindi keyboard for users in India.
The ROM also integrates Mobikwik and allows one to hash tag for different messages from Flipkart, HDFC Bank, Vodafone etc. It has special power saving mode that stops background application activities, syncs, updates, tasks etc. I also prevents unessential apps from starting up and reduces lag.

The MIUI 8 stable ROM will be available globally from August 16, 2016. Public beta ROM will be available starting July 11, 2016. This latest ROM will work with Mi 2/2S, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 5, Mi Note, Mi Max 32GB, Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 3
