Xiaomi QiCycle electric bike announced

Xiaomi has just announced its first foldable electric bike in China called the QiCycle.

This folding electric bike is light weight, made from aluminum frame and is light weight, weighing at just 13.5 KG. It also has IPX5 rating for water resistance and is EN 15194 certified for European electric vehicle.
Xiaomi’s MIJIA sub-brand has developed this folding electric bike. It features patented logitudinal folding design and can be stored easily. It uses 250W 36V high-speed motor, powerful enough to climb steep  roads. The bikes main beam is not folded though.

The QiCycle users TMM torque sensing technology that automatically detects the power and efforts hen pedaling. It also includes a smart meter which can be set according to riding needs. It has Shimano gear shit and includes three modes (easy, standard, fast).  The data collected can be synced with most smartphones using its dedicated application. This is done using Bluetooth.

Riders can ride the bike even when it runs out of charge. It houses 18650 mAh BMS Lithium battery and makes use of management technology, combining twenty 208.8Wh batteries.  It is easily replaceable and is built in-to bikes frame. The battery is said to last for 45 KM of ride time on full charge.
The Xiaomi QiCycle folding electric bike is priced at 2999 Yuan (US$ 455 / €401 approx.) and will be available in China today via crowd funding.
