Xiaomi Redmi 5 official looking slides reveals specs

Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone called the Redmi 5 has surfaced online at Weibo. These official looking slides not only shows the phones design but also reveal its specs.
The smartphone is said to come in two chipset and RAM combinations. The 3GB RAM with 16GB / 32GB storage variants is said to be powered by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. The premium 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM model houses 2.2GHz octa-core Snpadragon 630 Mobile Platform SoC with Adreno 508 GPU.
According to leaked Redmi 5 specs, it has 5-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Do expect a 5MP front and 16MP auto focus rear snapper with LED Flash. It is also said to feature 3680 mAh battery inside and support Quick Charge 3.0 as well.

There will be a fingerprint sensor at the back side for added security. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with MIUI 9.0. Also expect Dual SIM slots with 4G VoLTE support. Usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetotoh, GPS will be supported as well.

Moreover, along with these images, price of Redmi 5 was also revealed by the Tipster. The 3GB RAM with 16GB Storage is said to cost 859 Yuan (US$ 126 / €110) while the 3GB RAM / 32GB storage variant could be priced at 1039 Yuan (US$ 153 / €134). There will be a 4GB RAM / 64GB storage model as well, which is expected to carry price-tag of 1099 Yuan (US$ 162 / €142).
