Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has just announced Redmi 8A. It is a budget smartphone powered by Snapdragon 439 SoC.
It has 6.22-inch HD+ 19:9 display with Dot Notch which houses 8MP selfie shooter. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for added durability.
The Redmi 8A specs include 8MP front shooter which supports face unlock. At the back side is a 12MP rear Auto Focus camera. The hardware is juiced up by 5000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Sadly, Redmi is giving a 10W charger in the box.
The smartphone is 9.4mm thick and houses Dual Nano SIM slots which supports Dual 4G VoLTE. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS with MIUI 10 on top. There is a USB Type-C port, which is first in its price range.

The Redmi 8A 2GB/32GB price is Rs. 6499 while the Redmi 8A 3GB/32GB costs Rs. 6999. It comes in Sunset Red, Ocean Blue and Midnight Black colors. You can buy Redmi 8A at Flipkart and Mi.com from September 29th midnight. The mobile will also land at Mi Home stores from September 30th. Other offline channels will get stocks as well.
