Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with 4G VoLTE, 5.5-Inch 1080p display, Helio X20 SoC launched

Xiaomi has finally put an end to rumors and has officially launched Redmi Note 4 in China at a dedicated event. It is the latest smartphone under Redmi Series.

The phone features in a brushed metal body with chamfered edges and houses fingerprint sensor on the back. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with MIUI8 out of the box. It has hybrid dual sim slots (micro + nano / microSD) and supports 4G LTE with VoLTE.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Specs include 5.5-Inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display. The screen has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, up to 72% NTSC colour gamut, 1000:1 contrast ratio and supports multi-touch as well.

The mobile gets processing power from 2.1GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The handset comes in 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 64GB storage options, both expandable using MicroSD card.

The phone measures 151 x 76 x 8.35 mm and weighs 175 grams. It has 4100 mAh typical (4000mAH minimum) battery and includes Infrared sensor as well.

The Redmi Note 4 features a 13MP primary camera on the back with F/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and supports PDAF as well. On the front side is 5MP selfie snapper with F/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle-lens.

The mobile supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C etc.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is priced at 899 Yuan (US$ 135) for the 2GB RAM / 16GB storage variant. The premium 3GB RAM / 64GB storage version carries price-tag of 1199 Yuan (US$ 180). The smartphone will go on sale in China from August 26th and can be bought from Mi Online store, China Mobile and other online retailers. The phone will be available in Silver, Gold and Grey colour options.
