Xiaomi has scheduled a dedicated launch event in China on August 25th (tomorrow) where company will announce their latest mobile(s). Company has roped in Chinese actress Liu Shishi and actor Wu Xiuo and featured them in the teaser, holding mystery phones.
One of the devices expected to go official is Redmi 4. It is said to have metal body (visible in the teaser) and is already certified by TENAA. The phone is expected to have 5-inch 1080p display, octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC and 2GB / 3GB RAM variants with 16GB / 32GB storage option. The phone is also said to feature 5MP front, 13MP rear camera and should support 4G VoLTE. Under the hood is said to be 4000 mAH battery along with Fingerprint sensor and IR Sensor.
Xiaomi is also expected to unveil Redmi Note 4 smartphone at the event. The retail packaging of the phone has already leaked online. According to the rumors, the phone packs in 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC or Snapdragon 652 SoC and runs on Android 6.0 OS. It is said to come with 3GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB storage options. It will support 4G LTE with VoLTE and includes 4100mAh battery> The handset is also expected to have 5MP front and 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash and PDAF.
Xiaomi at its blog post has also revealed that it has sold more than 110 million Redmi phones till date and has achieved amazing 72% YoY growth (July 2014 to July 2016). More details of mysterious Redmi Device(s) will be available tomorrow.
