Xiaomi not only announced MI MIX 4 smartphone. It also unveiled two new tablets in China called Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro.
Both of these tables are powered by Android 11 based MIUI 12.5. These have 11-inch multi-touch HDR10 display offering 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 500nits brightness, 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Their screens deliver TrueTone color, offers hardware level blue light reduction and comes with TUV Rheinland low blue light hardware scheme certification.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 has measurements of 256.69 x 166.25 x 6.85 mm and has weight of 511 grams. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 860 mobile platform with Adreno 640 GPU. It has options of 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage options.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro has dimensions of 254.69 x 166.25 x 6.86 mm and weighs 515 grams. The Mi Pad Pro 5G model is tad heavier at 518 grams. Pumping inside these pro models is octa-core Snapdragon 870 mobile platform with Adreno 650 GPU. It has same 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. However, the Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G model has 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The base Mi Pad 5 Wi-Fi model comes with single 13MP shooter at back and an 8MP shooter at front. It has 8720mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It can go from 0 to 100% in about 91 minutes.
The Mi Pad 5 Pro Wi-Fi versions have 13MP main and 5MP depth cameras at back and supports 4K video. The Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G model has 50MP (Main, 1/2.5′ sensor) and 5MP depth cameras along with 4K recording. All of its versions have 8MP selfie camera and include 8600mAh battery capacity with 67W fast charging. It can go from 0 to 100% in just 67 minutes.
The Mi Pad 5 has quad speaker setup while its Pro alternatives have 8 speakers. All of the Mi Pad 5 Series have USB Type-C audio with Dolby Atmos. These have support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Dual band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0 (V5.2 in Pro), USB Type-C and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/QZSS/Galileo.
