Xiaomi unveils Mi TV Lux 82″ 4K and Mi TV Lux Ultra 82″ 8K smart TVs

Xiaomi expands its Mi TV Lux lineup with the launch of two new models – Mi TV Lux 82″ 4K and Mi TV Lux Ultra 82″ 8K. Both of them are premium smart TV’s with impressive hardware. They run on MIUI for TV 3.0 and includes Xiao AI 3.0 with far-field voice recognition.

The Mi TV Lux 82″ 4K TV price is set at 9999 Yuan (US$ 1465 / Rs. 1,08,150 approx.) and is already up for order in China. The premium Mi TV Lux 82″ 8K TV model costs 49999 Yuan (US$ 7330 / Rs. 5,40,950 approx.) and will go on sale in Chinese markets from October 21st.

Mi TV Lux 82″ 4K TV

This particular model houses an 82-inch OLED display with 3840 x 2160 pixels 4K resolution. It has 6.5ms response time, 1000nits (peak) brightnes, 1400000:1 contrast ratio and delivers 93% DCI-P3 color gamut. It has support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, MEMC and boasts 178-degree wide viewing angles.

The Mi TV Lux 82″ 4K model houses quad-core MediaTek MT9650 processor with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and comes with 64GB built-in storage space. It has automatic low latency mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh rate (VRR).

Audio on this smart TV is handled by 6-units speakers which consists of two 12.5W left / right channels, two 15W surround channels and Ultra-low frequency subwoofer. It has Dolby Audio, DTS Audio and 2.1.2 Dolby Atmos.

You also get Patchwall AI. In terms of connectivity, Mi TV Lux 82-inch has Wi-Fi 820.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.0, three HDMI 2.1 (including HDMI eARC), two USB ports, Ethernet and S/PDIF.

Mi TV Lux Ultra 82″ 8K TV

It is a premium smart TV featuring 82-inch OLED screen offering 7680 x 4320 pixels 8K resolution. The display offers 2000nits peak brightness (4096 levels of brightness adjustments), 1400000:1 contrast ratio and delivers 98% DCI P3 color gamut. It has support for Dolby Vision, MEMC, HDR10+ and sports 178-degree wide-viewing angles.

The Mi TV Lux Ultra 82″ 8K TV features in quad-core (Cortex-A73 x 2 + Cortex-A53 x 2) Novatek 72685 processor with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and 256GB of storage space. Interestingly, there is support for 5G. You also get Automatic Low Latency mode (ALLM), Variable refresh rate (VRR) and DC Dimming.

Connectivity wise, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, two USB, three HDMI 2.1 (including HDMI eARC), Ethernet and S/PDIF. There is patchall AI as well. For best audio, Xiaomi has included retractable 8-unit speaker which consists of two 10W high frequency, two 10W mid frequency, two 20W low frequency and bi-amp electronic crossover. There is support for Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS audio.
