Xiaomi YI has announced its latest 4K action camera. It has 12MP Sony IMX377 sensor and supports Hyperlapse as well. Other camera features include 1/2.3-Inch Sensor, 7P Lens, F/2.8 Aperture and 155-degree wide angles. It supports 4K video recording at 30 Fps, 1080p @ 120 Fps and 720p @ 240 Fps.
This latest action camera from Xiaomi houses 2.19-Inch display that has 16:9 aspect ratio and 330ppi pixel density. It has Corning Gorilla Glass protection and has 160-degree wide viewing angles.
The YI 4K action camera houses Ambarella A9SE SoC and supports H.264 codec. It also includes BCM4330 chip for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) and Bluetooth V4.0.
It has MicroSD card slot for storage and Dual Microphones to record voices. It also comes equipped with 6-axis gyroscope for EIS and sports a decent 1400 mAH battery. The camera also has a separate application for imaging, video editing and sharing.
The Xiaomi YI 4K Action Camera is priced at 1199 Yuan (US$ 183). The camera with Bluetooth remote and selfie stick bundle costs 1299 Yuan (US$ 199). It also has accessories like waterproof case, UV protection lens, leather covers etc. and are sold separately. It is can be ordered by backers via crowd funding in China and will ship in June 2016. Currently Black, White and Pink colour options are available.
