Xiaomi sub brand Huami, has launched its latest Amazfit Smartwatch in China. It is IP67 rated for dust and water resistance. It also sports scratch resistant ceramic bezels and comes with 22 nm user replaceable band.
The Xiaomi Amazfit Smartwatch features 1.34-Inch circular display with 300 x 300 pixels resolution. Under the hood is 1.2GHz processor with 512MB RAM. It is compatible with most Android phones that have MiFit app installed. It connects with phones using Bluetooth.
The smartwatch is powered by 200 mAh battery that is said to offer 5 days of battery life. The Amazfit Smartwatch is also claimed to be world’s first smartwatch to include 28nm GPS Sensor. With GPS enabled, the watch can last up to 30 hours. With just pedometer enabled, it can live up to 11.6 days.
Xiaomi has also partnered with Alibaba to bring support for AliPay mobile payment service in the Smartwatch. It also has brighter than sun dial that displays weather and notifications for call / messages. It has fitness tracking capabilities that include distance travelled while walking, running etc. It also house a heart rate sensor.
The Xiaomi Amazfit Smartwatch is priced RMB 799 (US$ 120) and comes in Black / Red colour option. It will go on sale in China from tomorrow.
