Xiaomi’s co founder Lin Bin has showcased company’s latest foldable smartphone in a video. It is basically double sided flip phone which leverages company’s flexible folding screen technology, folded four-wheel drive shaft technology, flexible cover technology and all new MIUI adaptation for folding screen
The phone basically has a symmetrical double-folded outer shape and is flat. It offers users, option to use the handset as a tablet, taking advantage of a larger screen or flip the sides to have a more mobile phone like experience.
This folding Mi Smartphone doesn’t have an official name yet however, company is considering two options – Mi Dual Flex or Mi MIX Flex. The device is currently codenamed ‘Assembly’ (translated) and is currently in prototype stages. This is clearly visible as the screen does not turn off when it is folded back.
