Xiaomi’s POCO sub-brand has just launched its first smartphone in India called POCO F1. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with MIUI 9 for POCO UI.
It has hard coated polycarbonate unibody design made using 7 layer color process. It has reinforced internal frame structure for further durability. It has special liquid cooling system (copper heatsink with water vapor) that keeps the mobile cool even during long hours of games.
The mobile houses Hybrid Dual SIM slots with 4G VoLTE support. It has rear facing fingerprint sensor and IR Face Unlock at the front. For optimum audio, POCO has included Dual Smart PA with Dirac HD audio.
The Pocophone F1 specs include 6.18-inch LCD display with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass . It has 2446 x 1080 pixels resolution, 500nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and supports multi-touch. The mobile is powered by 2.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU.
The chipset is backed by 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage space. There is a premium 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB storage (UFS 2.1) model. The hardware is juiced up by 4000 mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging as well.
The POCO F1 features in 12MP primary rear camera with dual LED Flash, Sony IMX363 sensor and 1.4um pixels. It supports Dual Pixel Auto Focus which gives 12Million focusing points, real-time AI photography and AI Scene recognition. There is a secondary 5MP rear camera for depth info.
The mobile is equipped with 20MP front camera for selfies. It has 4-in-1 pixel binning to give an effective 1.8um pixels size. Additionally, AI Beauty and AI Scene detection is also present in front cameras.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm Audio Jack are present.
