ZTE expands its Axon lineup with two new mobiles called Axon 30 Pro and Axon 30 Ultra. Both of these devices will go on sale in China from April 19th. The Ultra model will land in global markets some time in May.
The ZTE Axon 30 Pro 6G/128GB variant is priced at 2998 Yuan ($460 / Rs. 34,400 approx.) while its 8GB/128GB model costs 3298 Yuan ($505 / Rs. 37,830 approx.). The premium 8GB/256GB variant costs 3598 Yuan ($550 / Rs. 41,280 approx.). The Axon 30 Pro has White and Black color options.
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 8GB/256GB model costs 4698 Yuan ($720 / Rs. 53,980 approx.) while its 12GB/256GB variant has price-tag of 4998 Yuan ($765 / Rs. 57,400 approx.). The Axon 30 Ultra 16GB/512GB premium model costs 6666 Yuan ($1021 / Rs. 76,550 approx.). The cellphone is offered in White, Black, Blue and Light Brown color options.
ZTE Axon 30 Pro
The phone has measurements of 163.56 x 75.27 x 7.86 mm and weighs 186 grams. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor, Dual Nano SIM slots and supports 5G (SA/NSA) and Dual 4G VoLTE.
The Axon 30 Pro specs include 6.67-inch AMOLED display (flat) and boasts 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen offers 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate.
Powering inside is octa-core Snapdragon 888 mobile platform with Adreno 660 GPU. It has 6GB/8GB RAM (LPDDR5) and 12GB/256GB (UFS 3.1) storage options. The handset comes pre-installed with Android 11 and MyOS11 on top.
The ZTE Axon 30 Pro feature a 16MP front facing shooter. At the back side includes 64MP (main, Sony IMX686, F/1.6, OIS), 64MP (ultra-wide, Samsung GW3, F/2.2), 5MP (macro, 3cm shots) and 2MP (depth) cameras and LED flash.
The hardware is fueled by 4200mAh (typical) battery and supports 55W fast charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS and USB Type-C audio.
ZTE Axon 30 Ultra
This particular mobile boasts a 6.67-inch flexible curved AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It has 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit color depth and delivers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra feature an octa-core Snapdragon 888 mobile platform with Adreno 660 GPU. It has 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM (LPDDR5) options along with 128GB/256GB/512GB storage space (UFS 3.1).
The smartphone has dimensions of 161.53 x 72.96 x 8.0 mm and weighs 188 grams. It comes with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics. The device itself sports double curved design and made using environmentally friendly AG etching process.
The mobile runs on Android 11 with MyOS 11 and comes with Dual Nano SIM slots. The device houses 4600mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. There is support for 5G SA/NSA / Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band, Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, Type-C Audio and GPS/GLONASS/Bediou.
Other specifications of Axon 30 Ultra include 16MP front camera along with Triple rear shooters. These include 64MP (main, Sony IMX686, OIS, F/1.6) + 64MP (ultra-wide, Samsung GW3, F/2.2) + 8MP (Periscope Telephoto, 5x optical, 10x hybrid, 60x digital) + Laser focus sensor.
UPDATE 25/11/2021: ZTE has announced AXON 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition in China. It is world’s first smartphone to feature 18GB RAM and 1TB Storage space. In terms of specifications, it is same as original Axon 30 Ultra.
The Aerospace Edition comes with taikonaut branding. The packaging is an exclusive gift Box with transparent matte envelope and multiple silk screens. The packaging also includes ZTE LiveBuds Pro BT headset inside.
The ZTE AXON 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition is priced at 6998 Yuan ($1095 / Rs. 81,620 approx.). It will go on sale in China from November 26th.
