ZTE has announced a powerful smartphone called the Axon 7. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back and is equipped with dual stereo speakers, two dedicated AK4961 and AK4490 audio chips and Dolby Atmos surround sound.
The ZTE Axon 7 features 5.5-Inch AMOLED display and comes with 2.5D curved glass. The screen has 2560 x 1440 pixels Quad HD resolution and supports multi-touch. It runs on ANdroid 6.0 Marshmallow OS with MiFavor UI 4.0.
Under the hood is Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage options.
Inside is Hybrid Dual SIM slots (nano + nano / MicroSD) that supports 4G LTE. The phone has dimensions of 151.7 x 75 x 7.9 mm and weighs 185 grams. It has a decent 3250 mAh battery that powers the hardware.
In terms of camera it has 20MP main camera on the back with Dual LED flash, F/1.8 Aperture, PDAF, OIS and supports 4K video recording. On the front is 8MP selfie camera with F/2.2 aperture.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, USB Type-C, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
The ZTE Axon 7 4GB RAM / 64GB storage model is priced at US$ 442 (2899 Yuan). Its premium 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variant is priced slightly higher at US$ 625 (4099 Yuan). The phone will go on sale in China from June 2, 2016 from JD.com and will be available in Quartz Gray and Ion Gold colour options.
