Acer along with Spin 3 and Spin 5 laptops has also announced its new TravelMate P6 and TravelMate P2 commercial notebooks for modern, mobile, security-conscious customers.
They come with 14-inch and 15-inch sizes respectively and are powered by 10th Generation Intel Core i7 processor. Both of them comply MIL-STD-810G U.S. military grade durability and boots on Windows 10 Pro OS.
The TravelMate P6 will be available in North America in February, starting at USD 1149.99; in EMEA in February starting at EUR 1,099; and in China in January, starting at RMB 9,999. The TravelMate P2 will be available in North America in February, starting at USD 699.99; in EMEA in January starting at EUR 599; and in China in January, starting at RMB 4,499.
Acer TravelMate P6
This one is just 16.6mm thick and weighs about 1.1 Kg. It has premium quality magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis which is stronger yet lighter than standard aluminum alloys.
It offers about 23 hours battery making it perfect for professionals on the go. The high-performance notebook can be charged up to 50% in less than 45 minutes. You also get optional eSIM enabled 4G LTE connectivity. there are four-mic array which delivers crystal-clear voice during videoconferencing (picks vocals from 6.5feet).
The Acer TravelMate P6 sports a 180-degree hinge design and comes with up to 24GB GDDR4 memory. U can configure up to NVIDIA GeForce MX256 GPU wit up to 1TB of responsive Gen 3 x 4 PCIe SSD using NVMe technology.
There is a fingerprint reader (on power button) for secure login using Windows Hello. There is an IR webcam for biometric facial recognition. Notably, the camera shutter can be physically closed when not in use. There is an integrated Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 chip for hardware based protection from passwords and protection keys. There are pre-loaded Acer ProShield for security and management as well.
Acer TravelMate P2
The notebook comes with ability to connect not only to Wi-Fi but also 4G LTE. It was built with connectivity at the forefront. It has Intel Wireless Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) which delivers 3X faster speeds than standard Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
The TravelMate P2 is also MIL-STD-810G compliant and offers about 13 hours of battery life. It has impact resistant chassis for durability on the go. You can configure it with 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with optional NVIDIA GeForce MX230 GP.
It supports up to 32GB RAM (DDR4) and up to 1TB HDD and 512GB 4-lane PCIe SSD. There are range of ports like VGA, HDMI, USB Type-C and are easily expandable using Acer USB Type-C Dock. It also comes with TPM 2.0 module for security and fingerprint print read for secured unlocking.
