Acer unveils new Spin 3 and Spin 5 notebooks

Acer has officially unveiled its latest Spin 3 and Spin 5 (SP513-54N) notebook lineup. These come with flexible design and boots on Windows 10 Home OS. They have an hinge which elevates keyboard in laptop mode for comfortable typing.

The Spin 3 and Spin 5 notebooks from Acer come with durable 360-degree hinges which allows one to use it in four different modes – tablet, notebook, display or tent. They have an optional backlit keyboard which further extends productivity.

The new Acer Spin models induces fast-charging Acer Active Stylus that leverages Wacom AES technology. The technology replicates actual ink and paper with 4096 pressure levels. The Spin 5 supports an optional Acer Active Stylus with Wacom AES 2.0 tech for even more smoother experience.

These are powered by up to 10th generation Intel Core i7 processors coupled with Intel Iris Plus integrated Graphics for entertainment and casual gameplay. They have 16GB RAM. The Spin 3 offers 1TB in SSD storage and delivers about 12 hours of battery backup while the Spin 5 provides option of dual SSD and has slightly better usage time of up to 15 hours.

Starting with Acer Spin 5 (SP513-54N) , which has thickness of just 14.9mm. It has 13.5-inch 2K 3:2 aspect ratio touch display with 7.78mm ultra-narrow bezels. It has an 80% screen-to-body ratio. This convertible notebook weighs about 1.2Kg and features in magnesium aluminum chassis and palm rest. There is an integrated fingerprint read with Windows Hello secure login support.

The Acer Spin 3 (SP314-54N) features in 14-inch Full HD 16:9 aspect ratio touch screen display with 7.82mm bezels and boasts 78% screen-to-body ratio. It has weight of 1.5 kg with thickness of 16.9mm and sports a sleek and stylish aluminum chassis.

These come with USB Type-C (x2 in Spin 5) with Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.2 Gen1 (x2 in Spin 5), HDMI and MicroSD card reader. They support super fast dual band Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) 802.11ax as well. For audio, they have dual speakers and Acer True Harmony. There are dual microphones for smooth voice conversations.

The Acer Spin 3 price starts at US$ 699 and will be available in North America in April. It will also land in EMEA in February starting EUR 649.

The Acer Spin 5price starts at US$ 899 and will be available in North America in June. EMEA will get it in March for EUR 999.
