ASUS has officially launched its latest ASUS 8z smartphone in India. It is successor to ASUS 6z.
ASUS 8z specifications and features
It is a dual SIM mobile phone that offers support for 5G SA/NSA (Bands n1/n2/n3/n5/n7/n8/n12/n20/n28/n38/n77/n78). It measures 148 x 68.5 x 9.0 mm and weighs 169 grams.
The ASUS 8z feature IP68 water and dust resistant rating. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics. The device comes with Stereo speaker setup and includes Dual Cirrus Logic CS35L45 amplifier. It delivers Hi-Res Audio with Dirac HD sound.
Also included are triple microphones with ASUS Noise reduction technology and OZO Audio Zoom. A 3.5mm audio jack is present as well. The mobile runs on Android 11 with ZenUI 8.0 on top. The smartphone is eligible for Android 12 upgrade in future.
The ASUS 8z specs include 5.9-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support. It gives 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 112% DCI-P3 color gamut and gives max 1100nits brightness. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Pumping inside is an octa-core Snapdragon 888 mobile platform with Adreno 660 GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR5 RAM (6400MHz) and includes 128GB UFS 3.1 storage space. A 4000mAh (typical) battery fuels the hardware. It supports 30W fast charging and handles Quick Charge 4 / PD Charging protocols.
The ASUS 8z specifications include 12MP front camera with Sony IMX663 sensor and supports dual PD auto focus. At the back side are dual cameras with LED Flash. The primary shooter is of 64MP, a Sony IMX686 sensor with F/1.8 Aperture, 0.8um pixel size and OIS support. It has a second 12MP ultra-wide camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, F/2.2 Aperture, 4cm macro mode, dual PD Auto Focus and 8K video recording support.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, NFC, dual band GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo/QZSS/NacIC and FM Radio.
Price and availability
The ASUS 8z price for India is set at Rs. 42999 and comes in Obsidian Black and Horizon Silver colors. It will go on sale at Flipkart from March 7th.
