Honor, along with its V30 Series smartphones has also announced its new smartwatch called Honor MagicWatch 2. It comes with 5ATM rating for water resistance up to 50 meters.
The Honor MagicWatch 2 features 361L stainless steel dial and comes in two size options of 42mm and 46mm. Depending on the variant, it comes with 1.2-inch (390 x 390 pixels) or 1.4-inch (454 x 454 pixels) AMOLED circular display.
The smartwatch is powered by Kirin A1 SoC which is the same chipset powering Huawei Watch GT 2. There is a total of 4GB Storage of which about 2GB is user available. Users can store about 500 songs inside as well.
The Honor MagicWatch 2 comes with 15 different fitness modes ranging from cycling to hiking or using a rowing machine. It has TruRelax for all day activity tracking. The smartwatch supports GPS and GLONASS for positioning.
The smartwatch can also track your heart rates (Huawei TruSeen 3.5), distance, calories consumed and speed. It calculates SWOLF Score for swimming enthusiasts. It gives out warnings when heart rates increase or decrease.
There is sleep tracking which can diagnose 6 common types of sleep disorders. It users Bluetooth V5. 1to connect with smartphones. Users can answer / reject calls even when phone is 150 meters away. It comes with integrated microphone and a speaker.
The 42mm MagicWatch 2 offers 7 days of battery life while 46mm MagicWatch2 gives 14 days of battery backup (90mins GPS, 30 minutes of calls over BT and 30 minutes of music a week). Notably, there is 455mAh battery inside.
There are array of sensors bundled inside which includes Accelerometer sensor, Gyroscope sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Optical heart rate sensor, Ambient light sensor, Air pressure sensor, and Capacitive sensor.
The Honor MagicWatch 2 42mm price is 1099 Yuan (US$ 155) and comes in Agate Black color and 1399 Yuan (US$ 200) for Sakura Gold color . The MagicWatch 2 46mm price is 1199 Yuan (US$ 170) for Charcoal Black color and 1399 Yuan (US$ 200) for Flax Brown color. Their European prices are €179 and €189 respectively. It will be available in global markets from December 12th.
Update 14/Jan/2020: The Honor MagicWatch 2 has been officially launched in India. It is priced at Rs. 11,999 for 42mm variant (Agate Black color). The MagicWatch2 42mm (Sakura Gold) costs RS. 14,999. The 46mm Charcoal Black version costs Rs. 12,999 while the 46mm Flax Brown price-tag is Rs. 14,999. It will be available in India from January 19th at Amazon.in.
