Huawei Watch GT 2 with Kirin A1 chip goes official

Huawei has officially introduced its latest smartwatch called Watch GT 2. It comes in 46mm series and 42mm series offerings.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 42mm measures 41.8 x 41.8 x 9.4 mm and weighs about 29 grams. It has 1.2-inch AMOLED touch display with 390 x 390 pixels resolution.

The Huawei Watch GT2 46mm has dimensions 45.9 x 45.9 x 10.7 mm and has weight of 41 grams. It has a larger 1.39-inch AMOLED touch display with 454 x 454 pixels resolution.


The smartwatch comes with 5ATM Water resistant rating up to 50 meters. It runs on Huawei LiteOS and includes 455 mAh battery which offers about 14 days of battery life (7 days for 42mm version).

The Watch GT2 features in Bluetooth V5.1 for seamless connectivity with most Android 4.4+ and iOS 9.0 and above devices. At its core is HUAWEI Kirin A1 chipset for wearable.

The smartwatch comes with minimalist athletic design with 3D curved bezel-less watch face and includes microphone and speaker. It supports Bluetooth calling from watch itself.

The Watch GT2 sepcs also include Heart Rate sensor with TruSeen 3.5, Sleep monitoring, Huawei TRU Relax and activity tracking. The smartwatch also comes with 15 different workout modes like walking, running, cycling, swimming, hiking etc.

There is GPS as well. You also get array of sensors like Accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, optical heart rate sensor, air pressure sensor, capacitive sensor and Ambient light sensors.


Huawei has also unveiled several Watch GT 2 Editions like Classic Edition, Sports Edition and Elite Edition in 46mm case size. The Watch GT 2 42mm casings have Sport Edition, Classic Edition and Elegant Edition.


HUAWEI GT 2 46mm price is €249 ( US$ 275 / Rs. 19,620 approx.) while the Watch GT 2 42mm costs €229 ( US$ 253 / Rs. 18,050 approx.). They will ship in October 2019.
