Huawei expands its Nova Series lineup in China with the launch of Huawei Nova 10 and Huawei Nova 10 Pro smartphones. There are successor to last years Nova 9 series.
The Huawei Nova 10 12GB model is priced at 2699 Yuan ($403 approx.) while its 256GB version costs 2999 Yuan ($448 approx.). The Nova 10 Pro price is set at 3699 Yuan ($553 approx.) for 12GB storage variant and goes up to 3999 Yuan ($598 approx.) for 256GB model.
Both of these models come in Silver, Green, Violet and Black colors. These are up for pre-order in China and will go on sale from July 8th.
Huawei Nova 10 specs
The handset measures 162.18 x 73.91 x 6.88 mm and weighs approximately 168 grams (including battery). It comes with dual SIM support and allows dual 4G voLTE.
The Nova 10 feature a 6.67-inch multi-touch display that gives 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1.07-billion colors and P3 wide color gamut. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
Specifications of Huawei Nova 10 include octa-core (2.42GHz Cortex-A78 x 4 + 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 x 4) Snapdragon 778G 4G mobile platform with Adreno 642L GPU.
It has up to 12GB RAM and comes in 128GB / 256GB storage option. The smartphone runs on HarmonyOS 2.0 out of the box.
The Nova 10 sports 50MP (main, F/1.9, up to 10x digital zoom) + 8MP (ultra-wide macro, F/2.2) + 2MP (depth, F/2.4) cameras at back with LED flash. At the front side is a 60MP ultra-wide camera with F/2.4 Aperture.
The hardware is juiced up by a 4000mAH (typical) / 3900mAH (minimum) battery and supports 40W fast charging. There are range of sensors like gravity, ambient light, compass and gyro.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, HE160, 4096 QAM, 8 spatial-stream sounding MU-MIMO, Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C 2.0, dual band GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo/QZSS, NFC and Type-C audio.
Huawei Nova 10 Pro specs
The Pro version has measurements of 164.24 x 74.45 x 7.88 mm and weighs 191 grams. It has a 6.78-inch OLED display with 2652 x 1200 pixels resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1.07-billion colors and P3 wide color gamut.
Powering inside is same octa-core Snapdragon 778G 4G mobile platform with Adreno 642L GPU. It has up to 12GB RAM and has 128GB / 256GB storage options (non expandable).
Other specs on Nova 10 Pro include a 4500mAh (typical) / 4400mAh (minimum) battery with 100W fast charging. Huawei has included an in-display fingerprint sensor as well.
In terms of optics, there is a similar setup as vanilla Nova 10. It has 60MP front ultra-wide angle lens for quality selfies. At the back side is a combo of 50MP (main super-sensing) + 8MP (ultra-wide macro) + 2MP (depth) cameras with LED Flash.
The handset runs on Harmony OS 2.0 and offers dual SIM connectivity. Connectivity options remain same as Nova 10.
