Huawei P40 Lite silently unveiled, just a rebranded Nova 6 SE

Huawei has silently announced P40 Lite smartphone. The handset is a part of upcoming P40 Series which is slated to go official on March 26th.

The Huawei P40 Lite is basically a rebranded version of Nova 6 SE, which was announced in China last year in December. For starters, it boots on Android 10 with EMUI 10.0.1. It does not have Google Mobile Services (GMS) though.

The cellphone houses side mounted fingerprint sensor and sports a 6.4-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 90.6% screen-to-body ratio. At its core is octa-core Kirin 810 SoC with 6GB RAM. You get 128GB ROM which is further expandable via NM Card.

The Huawei P40 Lite specs include quad-rear camera setup inside square module (top left corner). These make up to 48MP (Main) + 8MP (wide-angle) + 2MP (Macro) + 2MP (Depth) shooters. Its 16MP selfie camera is placed inside a punch hole.

The smartphone houses 4200mAh battery and supports 40W superCharge fast charging. It can charge up to 70% in just 30 minutes. There are Dual SIM slots with Dual 4G VoLTE.

The Huawei P40 Lite price is 299 Euros (US$ 325 / Rs. 23,350 approx.) and comes in Midnight Black, Sakura Pink and Crush Green colors. Pre-sale for P40 Lite in Europe begins from March 2 and will last till March 16. Customers who pre-order P40 Lite will get Freebuds wireless earphones and screen protector for free.
