VIVO’s iQOO brand has announced a new smartphone in its Z Series called iQOO Z5x. It is basically a cheaper alternative to iQOO Z5. We already know specs of Z5x thanks to TENAA listing.
iQOO Z5x specifications and features
The smartphone has dimensions of 163.95 x 75.30 x 8.50 mm and weighs 189 grams. It offers dual SIM connectivity with its Nano Slots and supports 5G SA/NSA and Dual 4G VoLTE.
It has a side mounted fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. The cell phone runs on Android 11 with Origin OS 1.0 out of the box. It comes with dedicated 3.5mm audio jack and delivers Hi-Res audio.
The iQOO Z5x specs include 6.58-inch LCD display with HDR10 support. It offers 2408 x 1080 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 colors and up to 650nits of brightness. Its screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. Moreover, handset boasts TUV Rheinland low blue light certification.
Powering inside Z5x is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It has 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM options with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Its top-end variant has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB UFS 2.1 storage space. There no MicroSD card support though.
It has virtual RAM feature that offers additional 3GB virtual RAM. Its liquid cooling system is said to reduce core temperature by up to 10° C. Fueling its hardware is a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It can charge up to 58% in just 30 minutes.
In terms of optics, the smartphone houses 50MP (main, F/1.8) and 2MP (macro, F/2.4) dual cameras at back with LED Flash. At the front side is an 8MP selfie shooter with F/2.0 Aperture.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C and GP/GLONASS/Beidou for positioning.
