Lenovo Legion Phone Duel with SD865+ SoC, 5000mAh battery with 90W fast charging unveiled

Lenovo has officially launched Legion Phone Duel gaming smartphone. It is company’s first gaming mobile under its Legion Series and comes with some impressive specs.

The phone is powered by Android 10 with ZUI 12 / Legion OS on top. It has Dual Nano SIM slots with support for 5G / Dual 4G VoLET. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for fast unlocking.

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel specs include 6.65-inch multi-touch AMOLED HDR display which offers 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and delivers DCI-P3 color gamut. It has 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood is octa-core (3.09GHz Kryo 585 x 1 + 2.42GHz Kryo 585 x 3 + 1.8GHz Kryo 585 x 4) Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform with Adreno 650 GPU. To keep thermals in check, it has 45767.32mm² dual liquid cooling solution.

For gaming, Legion Phone Duel feature in dual X-Axis linear motor for ture “4D vibration”. It also comes with two ultrasonic trigger buttons. It also comes with GAE game acceleration engine which delivers 120fps frame rate. There is Link Boost tech for reduced network latency.

The smartphone comes in options of 8GB / 12GB / 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB UFS 3.1 storage space. There is no support for further storage expansion.

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel packs in 5000mAh battery and supports 90W super flash charging (based on dual-battery ATA architecture) (in premium model only). Statistically speaking, it can charge from 0 to 50% in just 10 minutes and 100% in just 30 minutes. It is chargeable using dual USB-C ports (bottom and side). Other variants come with 45W and 65W charging.

In terms of optics, you get 20MP pop-up selfie camera with F/2.2 Aperture. The pop-up mechanism is placed at the side. At the back side is a dual camera setup consisting of 64MP (main, F/1.89, 0.8um) and 16MP (ultra-wide-angle, F/2.2) shooters along with dual-LED Flash. You also get multi-color rear LED.

Audio features of Legion Phone Duel includes dual AWINIC 88265, 1.4cc dual speakers, USB Type-C audio and quad-microphones. There is support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band, Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C (x2), NFC and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/QZSS(l1+l5).

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel will roll out in Africa, Europe and Middle East followed by markets of Asia later this year.
