MediaTek Helio G25 and Helio G35 SoC’s unveiled

MediaTek has officially unveiled its latest SoC called Helio G25 and Helio G35. These will power budget smartphones and includes MediaTek HyperEngine gaming technology for faster, smoother performance.

The MediaTek Helio G25 and Helio G35 chipsets are based on 12nm TSMC process. Both of them support up to 6GB LPDDR4X memory (up to 1600Mhz) and eMMC 5.1 storage.

Both of them support Dual 4G VoLTE (DSDS), Cat-4, Cat-7 DL / Cat-13 UL carrier Aggregation (CA), 4G FDD/TDD, HSPA+, CDMA2000 1x/EVDO Rev.A (SRLTE), TAS 2.0, HUPE, iMS (VoLTE/ViLTE/WoWi-Fi) and eMBMs.

The MediaTek Helio G25 sports eight Corex-A53 cores (at 2GHz). It is paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU at 650MHz and supports 1600 x 720 pixels HD+ display at 20:9 aspect ratio at 60Hz refresh rate. It supports 21MP single or 13MP + 8MP dual camera setup. It also supports AI beautification, AI Smart Photo Album, Single/Dual camera bokeh, Hardware Warping Engine (EIS), Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC), MEMA, 3DNR etc.

The MediaTek Helio G35 features in eight Cortex-A53 cores at 2.3GHz. It has IMG powerVR GE8320 GPU (at 680Mhz) and supports display with 2400 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and 60Hz refresh rate. It supports 13MP + 13MP dual cameras or 25MP single camera setup. It also support all the camera features present in Helio G25.

In terms of connectivity, they support Wi-Fi 5 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo and FM Radio.

Devices powered by MediaTek Helio G25 SoC and Helio G35 SoC will be out soon. Redmi has already announced Redmi 9A with Helio G25 and Redmi 9C with Helio G35 Soc. Newly launched Realme C11 also uses the latter SoC.
