Meizu, along with 16X and X8 has also announced two new smartphones in its V series called Meizu V8 and V8 Pro. They run on Android Oreo OS out of the back and come with rear facing fingerprint sensor.
The Meizu V8 price is set at 799 Yuan (US$ 115 / Rs. 8450 approx.) and comes in White and Black colors. The Meizu V8 Pro costs 1098 Yuan (US$ 160 / Rs. 11,620 approx.) and comes in Black and Gold colors. Pre-orders of the phone start today and will go on sale in China from September 26th.
Meizu V8 Specifications
The smartphone measures 148 x 73 x 8.4 mm and has weight of 145 grams. It has Hybrid Dual SIM slots, both Nano slots with one doubling up for MicroSD card. It has rear facing fingerprint sensor and is powered by Flyme OS.
The Meizu V8 specs include 5.7-inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, 450nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 83% NTSC color gamut and multi-touch support.
The V8 features in 13MP single rear camera with F/2.2 Aperture and dual-tone LED Flash. At the front side is 5MP shooter with F/1.9 Aperture for selfies. The hardware is powered by 3200 mAh battery.
Apart from dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.2 LE and GPS are also supported.
Meizu V8 Pro specifications
Unlike the V8, the V8 Pro has premium specifications. It is powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 (650MHz) GPU.
It has rear facing fingerprint sensor and is powered by Flyme OS based on Android Oreo. The mobile has dimensions of 147.5 x 72.7 x 8.1 mm and has weight of 159 grams. It has 3100 mAh typical battery.
The SoC is paried with 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card. Not to mention its Hybrid Dual Nano SIM slots with dual 4G VoLTE support.
In terms of optics, the V8 Pro packs in 12MP (F/2.2) + 5MP (F/2.2) dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash. At the front side is 5MP selfie shooter with F/1.9 Aperture. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS, FM Radio and 3.5mm Audio jack.
