OPPO has officially announced its latest smartwatch in China called Oppo Watch 2. Depending on model, it offers optional 4G connectivity via eSIM and allows native calling thanks to its built-in speaker and microphone.
The OPPO Watch 2 is successor to original Oppo Watch. It has 42mm and 46mm models. The Watch 2 42mm model has 1.75-inch curved AMOLED display and offers 372 x 430 pixels resolution. The 46mm Oppo Watch 2 features a larger 1.91-inch curved AMOLED screen with 403 x 476 pixels resolution. These offer 60Hz refresh rate and 326ppi pixel density.
Regardless of the model, the smartwatch features in Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 SoC and Apollo 4s processor, which is paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB Built-in storage space. The combination allows seamless use of pre-installed Android based ColorOS Watch 2.0 / RTOS.
The smartwatch also boasts 5ATM water resistant rating. It is offered with buckle-type strap and in calf skin leather strap. The wearable is compatible with all Android 6.0 and above running phone models.
The Oppo Watch 2 comes with 100 sports modes and allows automatic tracking of 6 modes (walking, running, cycling, swimming, elliptical machine, rowing machine). It has built-in NFC for making contact-less payments.
For gamers, there is an unique e-sports mode which transfers all smartphone notifications to the watch. It also shows special reminders when gaming and can record energy consumption levels when gaming. The Oppo Watch 2 can also act as car key and connects directly with Bluetooth headset.
Also built-inside is an Optical Heart Rate sensor for tracking heart beats. It also includes SpO2 / Blood Oxygen sensor for keeping tabs on Blood oxygen levels. Additionally, it has 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, barometric pressure sensor, geomagnetic and Ambient light sensors.
The Oppo Watch 2 42mm model has 360mAh (typical) / 350mAh (minimum) which offers up to 2.5 days of usage. On long battery life mode, one can get up to 10 days. Its VOOC Flash charging gives about a days use with just 15 minutes of charging.
The Oppo Watch 2 46mm feature a larger 510mAh (typical) / 502mAh (minimum) battery capacity. It offers up to 4 days of usage or up to 16 days with long battery mode. With 10 minutes of VOOC Flash charging, one can get about 1 day of use.
In terms of connectivity, the smartwatch supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V5.0 LE and GPS/GLONASS for positioning.

The Oppo Watch 2 is already up for pre-order in China and will go on sale from August 6th.
