Redmi A1+ with Helio A22 Soc unveiled in Nigeria

Xiaomi silently unveils its new Redmi A1+ smartphone in Nigeria. The reveal takes place just a month after recent announcement of Redmi A1 in India.

Notably, Redmi A1 Plus is slated to go official on October 7th however, it is already available at Jumia for ₦ 60,000 ($137 / Rs. 11,240 approx.). It comes in Black, light blue and light Green colors.

Redmi A1+ specs and features

The device measures 164.9 x 76.75 x 9.09 mm and weighs about 192 grams. It comes with a unibody curved back, flat frame and leather texture design.

It offers dual SIM connectivity with 4G VoLTE and comes with a fingerprint sensor for biometrics. The handset runs on Android 12 OS (Go Edition).

The Redmi A1 Plus specs include 6.52-inch LCD display that gives 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz touch sampling rate and delivers up to 400nits brightness.

Under the hood is a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor which is paired with 2GB LPDDR4X RAM. There is 128GB storage and allows further expansion with microSD card.

The Redmi A1+ feature in 5MP selfie camera while the back side houses 8MP main camera coupled with a secondary lens. There is a 5000mAh battery and supports 10W charging.

Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth and GPS are supported.
