Xiaomi as expected, has just announced Redmi Note 7S smartphone in India. It comes with decent specs and pocket-friendly price-tag.
The phone features in Redmi’s unique aura design and comes with 2.5D curved glass back. The mobile packs in 6.3-inch multi-touch display with 2340 x 1080 pixel full HD+ resolution and 1.95mm side bezels. It has 19.5:9 apsect ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 84% NTSC color gamut and 450 nits brightness. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection at front and back.
Additionally, the Redmi Note 7s sports water tight seals and P2i nano-coating making the phone splash proof. It houses Hybrid Dual SIM slots and runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. A fingerprint sensor is placed at the back.
The Redmi Note 7S specs include octa-core (2.2Ghz Kryo 260 x 4 + 1.8GHz Kryo 260 x 4) Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes in options of 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal memory. The device will also allow further expansion using MicroSD card.
It has 48MP primary rear camera with 1/2″ sensor and F/1.8 Aperture for vibrant details. It has large 1.6um super pixel technology (picks 4 pixels and combine them in 1 bigger pixel for 12MP photos) for enhanced low light images. There is a secondary 5MP camera with F/2.8 Aperture. There is a 13MP selfie camera placed inside dot-style notch.
There is a 4000mAh battery inside which gives more than a days of use. Statistically, it can last for more than 13 hours on video playback or offer up to 150 hours of music and 250 hours of standby. It also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 (bundled charger inside) / 3.0 / 4.0.
Connectivity options like Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS and 3.5mm Audio Jack. There is an IR blaster at the top edge. In terms of dimensions, it measures 159.21 x 75.21 x 8.1 mm and has weight of 186 grams.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S 3GB/32GB variant price is Rs. 10,999 ($158 approx.) while the Redmi Note 7s 4GB/64GB model costs Rs. 12,999 ($187 approx.). It comes in Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red colors. It will be available from May 23 (Thursday) at Mi.com, Mi Home Store and online at Flipkart. It will also land at Mi Studio, Mi Stores, Mi Preferred partners and other retail chains.
