Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has made Redmi Note 8 Pro smarpthone official in China. It was announced along side Redmi Note 8.
The mobile measures 161.3 x 76.4 x 8.79 mm and has weighs of 199.8 grams. it has IP52 splash resistant rating and comes with IR Sensor. There are dual SIM slots with Dual 4G VoLTE and is powered by Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro features in 3D Glass back which is curved on all four sides. It has fingerprint sensor for fast unlocking. You also get liquid cooling which promises to reduce phone temperature by 4 to 6 degrees.
It has 6.53-inch multi-touch LCD display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has 2.05mm top frame, 1.8mm left and right borders and 4.2mm bottm bezel, resulting in to an astonishing 91.4% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood is Octa-core (2.05GHz A76 x 2 + 2GHz A55 x 6) MediaTek Helio G90T processor with Mali-G76 3EEMC4 (800MHz) GPU. There are options of 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB (UFS 2.1) storage and 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage options.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is also first smartphone to support Germany’s TÜV Rheinland High Performance Network Connection. This was achieved in partnership with MediaTek for chip-level network optimization. In 4G network, with support of MediaTek HyperEngine,Wi-Fi/LTE dual concurrent service is enabled.
The Redmi Note 8 Specifications also include 64MP (1/1.72″ Samsugn GW1 sensor, F/1.8 Aperture, 0.8um pixels, EIS) + 8MP (120-degree ultra-wide angle lens, 1.12um pixels) + 2MP (depth) + 2MP (2cm macro, F/2.4 Aperture, 1.75um pixels) quad-rear cameras along with LED flash. At the front side is 20MP shooter for selfies.
The hardware is juiced up by 4500mAh battery. It allows 18W fast charging and supports Quick Charge 3.0, Quick Charge 4+, USB PD and MediaTek PumpExpress fast charging technologies. It can go from 0 to 30% in 21 minutes, 50% in 36 minutes and 100% in 1 Hours 53 minutes.
In terms of connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC (NPX-SN100T chip), FM radio and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro 6GB/64GB price is 1399 Yuan (US$ 195 / Rs. 14,040 approx.) while the Redmi Note 8 Pro 6GB/128GB cost 1599 Yuan (US$ 223 / Rs. 16,050 approx.). The Premium Redmi Note 8 Pro 8GB/128GB model price is 1799 Yuan (US$ 250 / Rs. 18,050 approx.). The smartphone will come in White, Electric Gray and Jade Green colors. It will go on sale in china from Sepetember 3rd.
Redmi has also introduced Redmi Note 8 Pro World of Warcraft Limited Edition which has custome themes, cases and accessories.
It will sell customized Black Shark gamepad for the phone seperately. The Gamepad will cost 179 Yuan (US$ 25 / Rs. 1800 approx.) however, early buyers can get it for just 99 Yuan (US$ 14 / Rs. 1000 approx.).
