Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9825 7nm SoC announced

Samsung has officially introduced its latest Exynos 9 Series 9825 SoC. The chipset is likely to power upcoming Galaxy Note 10 Series devices.

The Samsung Exynos 9825 is based on 7nm EUV (Extreme Ultra Violet) lithography processing technology and is power efficient than its predecessor (Exynos 9820).

The Exynos 9825 is an octa-core chipset consisting of TWO Custom Exynos M4 cores (for processing power) + TWO ARM-A75 cores (for performance) + FOUR ARM-A55 Cores (for efficiency). It is paired with ARM Mali-G76 MP12 GPU and integrates NPU as well.

The chipset supports display with 3840 x 2400 pixels WQXGA resolution or 4096 x 2160 pixels 4K UHD resolutions. HDR10+ support is also present. The 9825 SoC can handle UFS 3.0, UFS 2.1 storage and LPDDR4X RAM.

The SoC can handle a single 22MP rear or 16MP + 16MP dual rear shooters along with a 22MP front facing camera. It can record 8K videos at 30fps or 4K UHD videos at 150fps (encoding and decoding with 10-bit HEVC (H.265), H.264, VP9).

It has LTE Advanced Pro Cat.20 support with 8x carrier aggregation (CA). It can attain download speeds of up to 2Gbps (Cat.20) and 316Mbps Uplink.

The Exynos 9 Series 9825 will power Galaxy Note10 Series phones and is already in mass production.
