Samsung has just announced its latest Note series smartphone called Galaxy Note 9. It has IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and comes with IRIS scanner and rear facing fingerprint sensor.
The handset measures 161.9 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm and weighs about 201 grams. The S Pen has dimensions of 5.7 x 4.35 x 106.37 mm and has weight of 3.1 grams.
It comes in Single / Hybrid Dual SIM options (Nano + Nano / MicroSD) and supports 4G VoLTE. It comes with an improved 4000 mAh battery capacity which supports wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 specs include 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with 2960 x 1440 pixels resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, 516ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
As your might expect, the cell phone features in S-Pen stylus. It has color tones that contrast with phones color. It comes with built-in Bluetooth connectivity and includes several features. Users can double tap a button to flip camera mode via doubling as a remote shutter. Users can take selfies, group photos, play/pause video, make presentations etc. With just 40 seconds of charging, S Pen works for 30 minutes. Additionally, it has finer tip and supports 4096 levels of pressure for precise control on notes and drawings.
Just like Galaxy S9 / S9+, The Galaxy Note 9 features in an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform with Adreno 630 GPU. Some markets will have Note9 with octa-core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9810 processor with Mali-G72 MP18 GPU. It has water carbon cooling system to keep the phone cool during gaming.

It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 512GB (UFS 2.1) storage options and allows further expansion up to 512GB using MicroSD card.. The phone packs in a bigger 4000 mAh battery which will last your for a day. For Audio, Samsung has included stereo speakers tuned by AKG and supports Dolby Atmos as well.

The Galaxy Note 9 features in an 8MP front facing wide-angle camera with Auto Focus capabilities. At the back side is a 12MP primary rear camera with F/2.4 – F/1.5 variable aperture and LED Flash. There is a secondary 12MP rear camera with F/2.4 Aperture. The rear cameras can record super slo-mo videos at 960 fps. It also has AI features which optimizes the camera based on the subject detected (landscape, portrait, food etc).

The handset also comes with Samsung Dex and easily enters Dex mode without a dock (using USB Type-C to HDMI cable). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, USB 3.1 Type-C, NFC, GPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth V5.0, MST  etc.
It has array of sensors like Accelerometer, Barometer, Proximity, Heart Rate sensor, Hall Sensor, Gyro sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, RGB Light and Pressure sensors

The mobile comes in Ocean Blue (Yellow S Pen), Lavender Purple, Midnight Black and Metallic Copper color options. Pre-orders for the phone will begin from tomorrow and will be available in US from August 24th.
UPDATE: The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been officially launched in India. The 6GB RAM / 128GB storage model costs Rs. 67,900 while the 8GB RAM / 512GB storage variant is priced higher at Rs. 84,900. The smartphone is available in India at Flipkart, Amazon.in and Samsung Online Shop along with offline channels. There are several launch offers as well.
