Samsung has officially introduced its latest Android Flip phone in China called Samsung W2018 (SM-G9298). Earlier today, the handset was certified by TENAA revealing it specs.
The mobile packs in premium specifications, even though it is an unconventional offering. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with Samsung’s own UI and Bixby. It has classic dual flip design with its 6013 aluminum alloy metal frame and 3D glass.
The mobile measures 130.2 x 62.6 x 15.9 mm and weighs about 235 grams. It has hybrid Dual SIM slot and supports 4G VoLTE. It has Fingerprint sensor at the back for quick unlocking and security.
If you talk about hardware, it has an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory (about 51.7GB user available). A recent TENAA listing mentions 6GB RAM with so there are chances that Samsung might introduce 6GB RAM / 256GB ROM variant. MicroSD card up to 256GB is also supported.
Talking about cameras, there is a 5MP front facing shooter with F/1.9 Aperture lens. At the back side is a 12MP primary snapper with LED Flash, F/1.7 Aperture and 4K video recording support (at 30Fps).
The hardware is powered by 2300 mAh battery capacity. It is said to offer a maximum of 238 hours of standby. The W2018 is compatible with array of Samsung devices like Gear Circle (Manager Support), Gear Fit, Gear Fit2, Gear1, Gear2, Gear2 Neo, Gear S, Gear S2, Gear S3 and Gear IconX.
The Samsung W2018 basic model costs 15,999 Yuan which converts to €2000/$2400/Rs.15,6060. It comes in Black color while its limited editions come in Gold and Silver colors.
