Samsung W21 5G foldable phone with two displays, SD865+ SoC, 12GB RAM unveiled

Samsung has officially unveiled W20 5G smartphone successor and company is calling it as Samsung W21 5G. The handset has specifications and design similar to Galaxy Z Fold2 5G.

Starting with dimensions, when folded, the handset measure 159.2 x 68.0 x 13.8 – 16.8 mm. When you unfold cellphone, it gives measurements of 159.2 x 128.2 x 6.0 – 6.9 mm. Total weight of the device is 288 grams.

The Samsung W21 5G comes with Dual Nano SIM slots and allows 5G (SA/NSA) and Dual 4G VoLTE. For authentication and fast unlocking, it has side mounted fingerprint sensor. Samsung has included Stereo speakers which are tuned by AKG along with Dolby Atmos.

The Samsung W21 5G specs include 7.3-inch Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED main display with 2208 x 1768 pixels resolution. It also sports 6.23-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Flex cover display offering 2260 x 816 pixels resolution at 25:9 aspect ratio.

For optimum performance, the smartphone houses octa-core Snapdragon 865+ mobile processor with Adreno 650 GPU. It has 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage space. This folding phone comes with Android 10 and One UI 2.5.

The Samsung Galaxy W21 5G features in 10MP cover camera and 10MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture. At the back side you get 12MP (main, F/1.8, OIS, PDAF) + 12MP (telephoto, F/2.4, OIS, PDAF, 10x digital zoom, 2x optical zoom) + 12MP (120-degree ultra-wide, F/2.2) triple cameras with LED Flash.

The fuel for hardware is derived from 4500mAh battery and supports 25W wired and 11W wireless (WPC/PMA) charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), MIMO, HE80, 1024-QAM, Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C (Gen 3.2), NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and NFC.

The Samsung W21 5G price is set at 19999 Yuan (US$ 3000 / Rs. 2,23,540 approx.) and comes in Golden color. It will go on sale in China from November 20th.
