Sony Xperia Ace II (SO-41B) budget phone announced

Sony has unveiled a high-end budget smartphone called Xperia ACE II (SO-41B). The device is successor to Xperia Ace which was announced back in 2019.

The Sony Xperia ACE II has IPX5 and IPX8 water and dust resistant rating. It comes with a fingerprint sensor at side and houses dual SIM slots for 4G VoLTE. The handset is powered by Android 11 OS out of the box.

The Xperia ACE 2 sports a 5.5-inch multi-touch display offering 1496 x 720 pixels resolution at 18:9 aspect ratio and houses Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top.

The smartphone is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage space, which is further expandable up to 512GB using MicroSD card.

The Xperia Ace II specs include 8MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture. At the back side are dual cameras making up of 13MP (main, F/2.0) and 2MP (depth, F/2.4) shooters along with LED Flash.

Housing inside is a 4500mAh battery with fast charging support. The smartphone itself measures 140 x 69. 8.9 mm and weighs 159 grams. It has support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0 LE, GPS/GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C.

The Sony Xperia ACE II price is set at 22,000 Yen ($202 / Rs. 14,800 approx.) and comes in Black, White and Blue colors. It will go on sale in Japan from May 28th.
