Xiaomi announces Redmi Y3 in India

The Xiaomi Redmi Y3 smartphone just went official in India. It is successor to last years Redmi Y2 and was announced along side Redmi 7.
The handset measures 158.73 x 75.58 x 8.47 mm and weighs 180 grams. It has P2i Splash resistant nano coating and houses a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi Y3 comes with micro-lines like finishing which is reflective back. Its Aura Prism design uses 7-layer process to manufacture. The handset comes with dedicated Dual SIM slots and supports dual 4G VoLTE.
The phone features in 6.26-inch multi-touch 2.5D curved glass Water-drop notch display with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, 450nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 84% NTSC color gamut. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the front as well for added durability.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y3 specs include 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 632 mobile platform with Adreno 506 GPU. The handset comes in option of 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal memory. With MicroSD card, there option to expand storage to additional 512GB.
The mobile packs in 12MP (F/2.2 Aperture, 1.12µm pixels, PDAF)  and 2MP dual rear cameras along with LED Flash. At the front side is 32MP selfie camera, equipped with 1/2.8-inch sensor.
Xiaomi-Redmi-Y3-photo-2The Redmi Y3 features in 4000mAh (typical) / 3900 mAh (minimum) battery . Usual connectivity options like Wi-IF 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS, FM Radio and 3.5mm Audio Jack are present.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y3 3GB/32GB price is Rs. 999 while the Y3 4GB/64GB model costs Rs. 11,999. It comes in Prime Black, Bold red and Elegant Blue colors. The handset will be available at Amazon.in, Mi.com and Mi Home stores from April 30th. The smartphone is bundled with 1120GB additional 4G data and Unlimited calling for Airtel customers.
